Who I am and how I work
I have been photographing weddings, christenings, 18th and first birthdays in Nis and across Serbia for over ten years. Each celebration has its own rhythm. A wedding is not the same as a christening, just as a first birthday is not the same as an 18th. That is why I do not photograph by a preset formula. I follow people, the atmosphere and what is actually happening — from the big moments to the small reactions that often pass in just a few seconds.
What I love most are photographs that do not look staged. A glance between two people, an embrace nobody planned, a guest's smile during a speech, a hand that spontaneously finds another. My job is to be close enough not to miss those moments, and discreet enough not to change the atmosphere because of the camera.
Wedding photography
I photograph weddings in Nis, the surrounding area and across Serbia. In Nis I have photographed ceremonies in churches including Sveti Pantelejmon, Saborna crkva, Konstantin i Jelena, Sveti Vasilije Ostroski and Sveta Petka. Knowing the space, the light and the flow of the ceremony means I do not need to wait for a moment to happen before thinking about where to stand — I can anticipate what comes next and be ready before it does.
At the celebration itself I follow the full day: preparations, guests arriving, the ceremony, portraits, family photographs, the first dance, speeches, the cake and the atmosphere at the reception. Photographs are delivered in high resolution within three weeks. You receive a private online gallery and a USB drive with photographs in a carefully prepared box.
Christenings — from the church to the celebration
A christening is a brief ceremony, but for the family it is one of the important days they will remember for life. During the ceremony I photograph discreetly and without disturbing the priest, parents or godparents. What matters to me is capturing what is actually happening — the parents reactions, the godparents, the family gathered around the child and the small moments that often go unnoticed.
After the church the atmosphere changes. At the celebration there is more room for relaxed photographs, family portraits, socialising and the details you prepared for that day. I do not ask the baby to pose for an hour. I follow its rhythm and photograph what happens naturally.
18th birthdays and first celebrations
An 18th birthday is an event that takes a long time to plan. Decoration, the venue, the entrance of the guest of honour, the cake, music, friends and family — every part of the evening has its own story. I photograph the full flow of the celebration, from the first guests to the moments when the atmosphere fully relaxes. Alongside the main events, I pay attention to the details you carefully chose and the people who make that day meaningful.
A first birthday is different. The guest of honour may not yet know why everyone has gathered, but everyone else has a reason to smile. Parents, grandparents, godparents, friends — their reactions often say more than any photograph in front of the cake. That is why I do not insist on posing. I want the photographs from a first birthday to show what that day actually looked like.
How reservation works
Before booking we talk about your celebration — where it is taking place, what the day looks like, how many guests you are expecting and what is especially important for you to have photographed. From that we agree on how we will work, how long the photography will last and all other details.
The date is reserved with a deposit, and everything we agree on is clearly written down and confirmed. I respond to messages within 24 hours. If you are looking for a photographer who will be present when it matters but will not try to direct every moment of your celebration, I would be glad to hear more about your day.
